You should check them out at least for me this is the perfect balance. The mod count is intentionally low because each one is feature rich, and will be used to the fullest as you go through the long questing trees. Verdant Wasteland really does a great job of adding leaves to trees but not too many, and not adding 1000 trees into the wasteland. I liked the thought of having lowered visibility but when the Mobs don't see the leaves it makes it kind of hard to fight them when you can't even see them. Grasslands is awesome and adds all sorts of flowers etc, but the problem I had was finding a mod that put some leaves on the trees without adding 1000 new trees and making it as dense as and old growth forest.

I finally settled on Grasslands, and Verdant Wasteland.
